During visits to Terschelling, an island in the north of Holland, Joke took many pictures and these she used to paint her watercolours. Sometimes she worked on the spot, but mostly in her workshop at home.

On top of the dike .......
2007One sunny day, while sitting here on top of the dike I painted the Wierschuur - a shed where they used to gather the weeds from the sea. It is the last farm at this side of the island and beyond is the vast area of nature
