Painting at Les Villates - estate in the Vendée - 2016

Three weeks at an ancient estate in France produced quite a lot of inspiration: an old castle ruin, a round tower, a chapel, sheds, a farmhouse, a well, lots of plants, flowers and a whole herd of cows. In short: enough subjects for painting!

A week's stay in a small village in the Loire area left me with a few works. I fancied an old and discarded well.
